Eli heard the outcry and asked, “Why this commotion?” The man quickly came and reported to Eli.

Samuel reported everything the LORD told him to the people who were asking him for a king.

So Samuel listened to everything the people said and then reported it to the Lord.

When the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, {they reported these things to} the people. Then all the people lifted up their voices and wept.

Just then Saul was coming in from the field behind the oxen and he said, "What's with the people? Why are they crying?" They reported to him what the men of Jabesh had said.

They told the messengers who had come, "You are to say this to the men of Jabesh-gilead, "Tomorrow, by the time the sun is hot, you will be delivered.'" The messengers went and reported to the men of Jabesh, and they rejoiced.

So they reported [it] to Saul, saying, "Look! The troops [are] sinning against Yahweh by eating [the animals] with the blood!" And he said, "You have dealt treacherously! Roll to me a large stone {today}!"

Early in the morning Samuel got up to confront Saul, but it was reported to Samuel, “Saul went to Carmel where he set up a monument for himself. Then he turned around and went down to Gilgal.”

Now the words which David had spoken were heard and they reported [them] {to} Saul, and he summoned him.

Now Saul’s daughter Michal loved David, and when it was reported to Saul, it pleased him.

Saul’s servants reported these words directly to David, but he replied, “Is it trivial in your sight to become the king’s son-in-law? I am a poor man who is common.”

When Saul's servants reported what David had said,

When the servants reported these terms to David, he was pleased to become the king’s son-in-law. Before the wedding day arrived,

It was reported to Saul saying, "David is at Naioth in Ramah."

When it was reported to Saul, he sent more messengers, but they prophesied too. So Saul sent messengers a third time, but they also prophesied.

It was reported to David: “Look, the Philistines are fighting against Keilah and raiding the threshing floors.”

When it was reported to Saul that David had gone to Keilah, he said, “God has handed him over to me, for he has trapped himself by entering a town with barred gates.”

So David and his men, numbering about 600, left Keilah at once and moved from place to place. When it was reported to Saul that David had escaped from Keilah, he called off the expedition.

David’s men retraced their steps. When they returned to him, they reported all these words.

And it was reported to Saul that David had fled [to] Gath, so {he no longer searched for him}.
