And David thrust his hand into his pouch, and took from thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine, in his forehead, - that the stone sank into his forehead, and he fell upon his face, to the earth.

Then David crossed over to the other side, and took his stand on the top of the mountain, afar off, - a great space, being between them.

And, when they had come down from the high place into the city, he spread a couch for Saul upon the house-top, and he lay down.

And it came to pass, at the uprisings of the dawn, that Samuel called unto Saul on the house-top, saying, Arise! that I may send thee away. So Saul arose, and they two, he and Samuel, went forth abroad.
