Therefore if you offer your gift on the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,

leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

And, Whoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is a debtor!

Fools and blind! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift?

And I heard another out of the altar saying, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.
