Now the upper chambers were narrower: for the galleries took more space away from these, than from the lower, and the middle chambers of the building.

For they were in three stories, but had not pillars like the pillars of the courts: therefore the upper chambers were narrowed, more than the lower and the middle chambers from the ground.

And forces shall appear on his part, and they shall defile the sanctuary fortress, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

They hate him that rebukes in the gate, and they abhor him that speaks uprightly.

The Lord GOD has sworn by himself, says the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is in it.

Hear this, I pray you, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity.
