What was torn I have not brought to thee; I had to bear the loss of it: of my hand hast thou required it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night.

and the one went out from me, and I said, He must certainly have been torn in pieces; and I have not seen him again hitherto.

If it have been torn in pieces, let him bring it as witness: he shall not make good what was torn.
