[Now] their appearance is blacker than soot, they are not recognized in the streets; their skin has shriveled on their bones, it has become dry like wood.

Our skin is hot like an oven because of the scorching famine.

And after my skin has been thus destroyed, but from my flesh I will see God,

Now David passed a little from beyond the summit, and suddenly Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth [was] there to meet him [with] a pair of saddled donkeys; on them [were] two hundred loaves of bread and a hundred raisin cakes, [with] a hundred summer fruits and a skin of wine.

You clothed me [with] skin and flesh, and you knit me together with bones and sinews.

"I have sewed sackcloth on my skin, and I have inserted {my pride} in the dust.

It consumes parts of his skin; the firstborn of death consumes his limbs.

Then Abraham rose up early in the morning and took bread and a skin of water and gave [it] to Hagar, putting [it] on her shoulder. And he sent her away with the child, and she went, wandering about in the wilderness, in Beersheba.

And when the water was finished from the skin, she put the child under one of the bushes.

And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water and gave a drink to the boy.

My skin turns black on me, and my bones burn with heat.

Its flesh's folds of skin cling together; it is cast on it--it will not be moved.

so that even handkerchiefs or work aprons {that had touched his skin} were carried away to those who were sick, and [their] diseases left them and the evil spirits came out [of them].

And I will lay on you sinews, and I will let flesh come upon you, and I will cover you over [with] skin, and I will put breath into you, and you will live, and you will know that I [am] Yahweh." '"

And I looked, and indeed, sinews [were] on them, and flesh went up, and skin covered over them {upward}, but breath [was] not in them.

Because of the sound of my groaning my bones cling to my skin.

{The fool refuses to work with his hands, so he has nothing to eat except his own skin}!

[Those of you who are] haters of good and lovers of evil, [who] tear their skin from them and their flesh from their bones,

and who eat the flesh of my people, and strip their skin from them, and break their bones, and chop [them] like meat in the pot, and like flesh in the midst of a cooking pot."

You have increased your merchants more than the stars of heaven; [like] the locust they will shed [their skin] and fly away.
