And Pharaoh-necho put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, so that he might not reign in Jerusalem. And he put the land to a tax of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold.

And Pharaoh-necho made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in place of Josiah his father. And he changed his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away. And he came to Egypt and died there.

And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh. But he taxed the land to give the silver according to Pharaoh's command. He exacted the silver and the gold from the people of the land, from each one according to his worth, to give it to Pharaoh-necho.

So the Lord Jehovah says this: Behold, I am against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong one and the broken one. And I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put My sword in his hand. But I will break Pharaoh's arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of one who is stabbed.

But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall. And they shall know that I am Jehovah, when I shall put My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it on the land of Egypt.

Son of man, speak to Pharaoh king of Egypt and to his multitude: To whom are you like in your greatness?

To whom are you like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? Yet you shall be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth. You shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised with those slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Jehovah.

Son of man, take up a lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him, You were like a young lion of the nations, but you were like a sea-monster. And you came out with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.

Pharaoh shall see them and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army killed by the sword, says the Lord Jehovah.

For I had put his terror in the land of the living. And he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with those slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, says the Lord Jehovah.

and plucked him out from all his afflictions, and He gave him favor and wisdom over against Pharaoh king of Egypt. And he appointed him governor over Egypt and all his household.

And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's race was made known to Pharaoh.

And he being cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up and reared him for a son to her.

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "Even for this same purpose I have raised you up, that I might show My power in you, and that My name might be declared throughout all the earth."

Having become great, Moses by faith refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter,
