On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers again, and Joseph's family became known to Pharaoh.

You will lose your hold on the land which I gave to you as a permanent possession. I will make you serve your enemies in a land that you know nothing about. For you have made my anger burn like a fire that will never be put out."

From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to its language, according to their families, by their nations.
