In this was the charity of God demonstrated in us, in that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. In this does the charity consist, not because we had loved God, but because he loved us and has sent his Son to be the reconciliation for our sins.

what is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou dost visit him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels and hast crowned him with glory and beauty. Thou hast made him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwells on high, who humbles himself to behold the things that are in heaven and in the earth!

In which God, desiring to show more abundantly unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us,

He that says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. He that loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.

We know that we are passed from death unto life, in that we love the brethren. He that does not love his brother abides in death. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer and ye know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. In this we have known the charity of God because he laid down his life for us; we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. read more.
But whosoever has this world's goods and sees his brother have need and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how does the charity of God abide in him? My little children, let us not love in word neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

Beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. Anyone that loves is born of God and knows God. He that does not love does not know God, for God is charity. In this does the charity consist, not because we had loved God, but because he loved us and has sent his Son to be the reconciliation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and his charity is completed in us. In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us, in that he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the charity that God has in us. God is charity, and he that abides in charity abides in God, and God in him. In this the charity with us is made perfect, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, that as he is, so are we in this world. In charity there is no fear; but charity that is perfect casts out fear; because fear has torment; from which he that fears is not complete in charity. We love him, because he first loved us. If anyone says, I love God and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he that does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And we have this commandment from him, That he who loves God loves his brother also.

and by him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross , whether they are the things in the earth or the things in the heavens. And you, that were in another time alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now he has reconciled you in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight

And all this by God, who reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; for certainly God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them and having placed in us the word of reconciliation.

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled with God by the death of his Son, much more, now reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only this, but we even glory in God through our Lord Jesus, the Christ, by whom we have now received the reconciliation.

For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost. What do you think? If a man had a hundred sheep and one of them went astray, would he not leave the ninety-nine and go into the mountains and seek that which is gone astray? And if so be that he finds it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more of that one than of the ninety-nine who did not go astray. read more.
Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in the heavens that one of these little ones should perish.

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved.
