And when Jesus was entering into Capernaum, a centurion came unto him, beseeching him,

And now send men to Joppa and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter; he lodges with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side; he shall tell thee what it behooves thee to do.
And when he looked on him, he was afraid and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God. And now send men to Joppa and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter; he lodges with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side; he shall tell thee what it behooves thee to do.
Can anyone forbid water that these should not be baptized, who have received the Holy Spirit as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then they begged him to tarry certain days.
But at midnight as Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God, and the prisoners heard them, then suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.
