For every species both of beasts and of birds, both of creeping things and of sea animals, is tamed and has been tamed by the human species;


And let the fear of you and the dread of you be upon every animal of the earth, and upon all fowl of the heavens: upon all that moveth on the ground; and upon all the fishes of the sea: into your hand are they delivered.

Thou hast made him to rule over the works of thy hands; thou hast put everything under his feet:

thou hast subjected all things under his feet. For in subjecting all things to him, he has left nothing unsubject to him. But now we see not yet all things subjected to him,


I have said, Ye are gods, and all of you are children of the Most High;

How much better then is a man than a sheep! So that it is lawful to do well on the sabbath.


But ye, be not ye called Rabbi; for one is your instructor, and all ye are brethren.



And he said to them, Ye know how it is unlawful for a Jew to be joined or come to one of a strange race, and to me God has shewn to call no man common or unclean.







And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over the whole earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth on the earth. And God created Man in his image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.





knowing that ye have been redeemed, not by corruptible things, as silver or gold, from your vain conversation handed down from your fathers, but by precious blood, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot, the blood of Christ,



How much more them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, who are crushed as the moth!

What is man, that thou makest much of him? and that thou settest thy heart upon him?


Fear not, thou worm Jacob, ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith Jehovah, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.


It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a gauze curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in;




How much less man, a worm, and the son of man, a worm!
