The Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will come to you in a thick cloud, so that the people may hear when I speak with you and may believe and trust in you forever.” Then Moses repeated the words of the people to the Lord. Then the Lord came down in the cloud and spoke to him; and He took some of the Spirit who was upon Moses and put Him upon the seventy elders. Then the [Shekinah] glory of the Lord departed from the threshold of the temple and rested over the cherubim. Verse ConceptsGod's Shekinah GloryGod Appearing At The DoorwayCherubim

Now the cherubim stood on the south side of the house when the man went in; and the cloud [the Shekinah] filled the inner court. Then the glory of the Lord mounted up from the cherubim to stand over the threshold of the [Lord's] house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the Lord's glory.

Then the cherubim lifted up their wings with the wheels which were beside them, and the glory of the God of Israel [the Shekinah, cloud] was over them. Then the glory of the Lord rose up from over the midst of the city and stood over the mountain which is on the east side of the city.

And like the dew that goes away early.

For throughout all their journeys, the cloud of the Lord was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel. Verse ConceptsHousesGod Appearing In FireDuring The Day

And on the day that the tabernacle was erected, the cloud [of God's presence] covered the tabernacle, that is, the Tent of the Testimony; and at evening it was over the tabernacle, having the appearance of [a pillar of] fire until the morning.
