Then an expert in the Law got up to test him and said, "Master, what must I do to make sure of eternal life?" Jesus said to him, "What does the Law say? How does it read?" He answered, " 'You must love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole strength, and your whole mind,' and 'your neighbor as you do yourself.' " read more.
Jesus said to him, "You are right. Do that, and you will live."



"Master, what command is greatest in the Law?" And he said to him, " 'You must love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, and your whole mind.' That is the great, first command. read more.
There is a second like it: 'You must love your neighbor as you do yourself.' These two commands sum up the whole of the Law and the Prophets."

One of the scribes came up and heard them arguing. He saw that Jesus had answered them well, and he asked him, "Which is the first of all the commands?" Jesus answered, "The first one is, 'Hear, Israel! The Lord our God is one lord, and you must love the Lord your God with your whole heart, your whole soul, your whole mind, and your whole strength.' read more.

The scribe said to him, "Really, Master, you have finely said that he stands alone, and there is none but he, and to love him with one's whole heart, one's whole understanding, and one's whole strength, and to love one's neighbor as one's self is far more than all these burnt-offerings and sacrifices."






















And Jesus came up to them and said, "Full authority in heaven and on the earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all the heathen, baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all the commands that I have given you. I will always be with you, to the very close of the age."
