Thy first father hath sinned, and thy mediators have rebelled against me.



and Adam was not deceived; but the woman, having been deceived, was in transgression.



Simon Peter says to him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.

When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs. He says to him again a second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep. He says to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.


And Peter answering him said, Lord, if it be thou, command me to come to thee upon the waters.

And Peter answering said to Jesus, Lord, it is good we should be here. If thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles: for thee one, and for Moses one, and one for Elias.

That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. Simon Peter therefore, having heard that it was the Lord, girded his overcoat on him (for he was naked), and cast himself into the sea;


And Peter taking him to him began to rebuke him, saying, God be favourable to thee, Lord; this shall in no wise be unto thee.

Peter says to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, Unless I wash thee, thou hast not part with me.

Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, and smote the bondman of the high priest and cut off his right ear; and the bondman's name was Malchus.


But seeing the wind strong he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.

But Peter sat without in the palace-court; and a maid came to him, saying, And thou wast with Jesus the Galilaean. But he denied before all, saying, I do not know what thou sayest. And when he had gone out into the entrance, another maid saw him, and says to those there, This man also was with Jesus the Nazaraean. read more.
And again he denied with an oath: I do not know the man.





And Peter answering said to him, Expound to us this parable. But he said, Are ye also still without intelligence?


and seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, says, And thou wast with the Nazarene, Jesus. But he denied, saying, I know not nor understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the vestibule; and a cock crew. And the maid, seeing him, again began to say to those that stood by, This is one of them. read more.
And he again denied. And again, after a little, those that stood by said to Peter, Truly thou art one of them, for also thou art a Galilean. But he began to curse and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.


Then Peter answering said to him, Behold, we have left all things and have followed thee; what then shall happen to us?


Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast words of life eternal;


and straightway leaving their trawl-nets they followed him.
