As Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Then know that those who are of faith, the same are the sons of Abraham. But the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, That in thee shall all the Gentiles be blessed.

By faith Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac: and the one having received the promises offered up his only begotten son, in reference to whom it was said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called: considering that God is able to raise him from the dead; whence he also received him in a figure.
