But now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have told you this, sorrow hath filled your heart. But I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go: for if I go not, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you. read more.
And he coming will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say to you; but ye cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak of himself: but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak; and he will shew you things to come. He will glorify me; for he will take of mine, and shew it you. All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore I said, He will take of mine, and shew it you.

Carry not purse or scrip or shoes, and salute no man by the way. And into whatsoever house ye enter, first say, Peace be to this house. But it shall be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment than for you. And thou, Capernaum, which hast been exalted to heaven, shall be thrust down to hell. The world cannot hate you, but me it hateth; because I testify of it, that its works are evil. Go ye up to the feast; I go not up to this feast yet; because my time is not yet fully come.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Verse Concepts

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us, with groanings which cannot be uttered. But he who searcheth the hearts, knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit: for he maketh intercession for the saints, according to God. And we know, that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them that are called according to his purpose.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor hath ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.

I have told you these things, that ye may not be offended. They will put you out of the synagogues; yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think he doth God service. These things will they do, because they have not known the Father nor me. read more.

Such trust have we in God through Christ. The God of our fathers hath raised up Jesus, whom ye slew, hanging him on a tree. Him hath God exalted, a Prince and a Saviour with his right-hand, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins. And we are witnesses of these things, and also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

And now behold, being bound by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost testifieth to me in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions await me.

The man departed and told the Jews, that it was Jesus who had made him whole. And therefore the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he had done these things on the sabbath. But Jesus answered them, My father worketh until now, and I work. read more.
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only broke the sabbath, but also said, that God was his own Father, making himself equal with God.

And he coming will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say to you; but ye cannot bear them now. But when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak of himself: but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak; and he will shew you things to come.
