And they cried more vehemently, saying, Let him be crucified. And Pilate seeing that he accomplished nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, took water and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this man; see you to it. And all the people answered and said, His blood be upon us and upon our children. Then he released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Jesus delivered him up to be crucified.
