Keep » Thyself
When thou goest out with the host against thine enemies, keep thee from all wickedness; for the Lord is among you.
that is to say: that ye abstain from things offered to images, from blood, from strangled and fornication. From which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. So fare ye well."
Take heed to thyself therefore only and keep thy soul diligently, that thou forget not the things which thine eyes have seen, and that they depart not out of thine heart, all the days of thine life: but teach them thy sons, and thy son's sons.
Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: Keep thyself pure.
Pure devotion, and undefiled before God the father, is this: To visit the friendless, and widows in their adversity, and to keep himself unspotted of the world.

Whoso keepeth the law, is a child of understanding; but he that feedeth riotous men, shameth his father.
And the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding, and make thee governor of Israel, and to keep the law of the LORD thy God.
Be, therefore, exceeding strong that ye take heed to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye bow not aside therefrom, to the righthand or to the left:
And it shall be with him, and he shall read therein all days of his life that he may learn to fear the LORD his God for to keep all the words of this law and these ordinances for to do them:

The LORD shall fight for you and ye shall hold your peace."
And they answered him, "Hold thy peace, and put thine hand upon thy mouth, and come with us, and be unto us a father and a priest. Whether is it better for thee to be a priest? Unto the house of one man, or to be priest unto a tribe or a kindred in Israel?"
And the Levites stilled all the people, and said, "Hold your peace, for the day is holy: vex not ye yourselves."
Mark well, O Job, and hear me: hold thee still until I have spoken.
