A good man, out of the good treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man, out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil; for of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the throwing down of strong-holds.) Destroying reasonings, and every high thing which exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God: And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth.

They that are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Now to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

To these an odour of death unto death, but to those an odour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things?
