And he turned to his disciples, and said, secretly, "Happy are the eyes, which see that ye see. For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them: And to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them."

Then called he the twelve together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and that they might heal diseases. And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to cure the sick.

And he said unto them, "It is not for you to know the times, or the seasons which the father hath put in his own power: but ye shall receive power of the holy ghost which shall come on you. Wherefore I perceive, that there is nothing better for a man, than to be joyful in his labour, for that is his portion. But who will bring him to see the thing that shall come after him?
Be kind one to another, with brotherly love. In giving honour go one before another. Let not that business which ye have in hand be tedious to you. Be fervent in the spirit. Apply yourselves to the time. Rejoice in hope. Be patient in tribulation, continue in prayer.
