Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them to the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit;
And having found him, he brought him to Antioch. And so it was with them that for a whole year they were gathered together in the assembly and taught a large crowd: and the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
And they, going forth, preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word by the signs following upon it.
In this is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit, and ye shall become disciples of mine.
Mary of Magdala comes bringing word to the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.

And it came to pass when Jesus had finished commanding his twelve disciples, he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities.
If any man come to me, and shall not hate his own father and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, yea, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple;
And the disciples came up and said to him, Why speakest thou to them in parables?
When therefore he was raised from among the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and believed the scripture and the word which Jesus had spoken.
Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples;
His disciples say to him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
And it came to pass on one of the days, that he entered into a ship, himself and his disciples; and he said to them, Let us pass over to the other side of the lake; and they set off from shore.
From that time many of his disciples went away back and walked no more with him.
saying, Say that his disciples coming by night stole him while we were sleeping.
But John, having heard in the prison the works of the Christ, sent by his disciples,
This word therefore went out among the brethren, That disciple does not die. And Jesus did not say to him, He does not die; but, If I will that he abide until I come, what is that to thee?
And having arrived at Jerusalem he essayed to join himself to the disciples, and all were afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.

But Jesus, having called his disciples to him, said, I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat, and I would not send them away fasting lest they should faint on the way.
And I brought him to thy disciples, and they were not able to heal him.
But Jesus having turned, and seeing them following, says to them, What seek ye? And they said to him, Rabbi (which, being interpreted, signifies Teacher), where abidest thou?
And his disciples James and John seeing it said, Lord, wilt thou that we speak that fire come down from heaven and consume them, as also Elias did?
And he said to the disciples, Days are coming, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see it.
And he calls the twelve to him; and he began to send them out two and two, and gave to them power over the unclean spirits;
And when the hour was come, he placed himself at table, and the twelve apostles with him.
Simon Peter says to them, I go to fish. They say to him, We also come with thee. They went forth, and went on board, and that night took nothing.
The Lord Jehovah hath given me the tongue of the instructed, that I should know how to succour by a word him that is weary. He wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the instructed.
And John answered him saying, Teacher, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, who does not follow us, and we forbad him, because he does not follow us.
And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord, but first allow me to bid adieu to those at my house.
There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael who was of Cana of Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.
And he was in the stern sleeping on the cushion. And they awake him up and say to him, Teacher, dost thou not care that we are perishing?

But he said this signifying by what death he should glorify God. And having said this, he says to him, Follow me.
Thus then every one of you who forsakes not all that is his own cannot be my disciple.
Every one therefore who shall confess me before men, I also will confess him before my Father who is in the heavens. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father who is in the heavens. Do not think that I have come to send peace upon the earth: I have not come to send peace, but a sword. read more.
For I have come to set a man at variance with his father, and the daughter with her mother, and the daughter-in-law with her mother-in-law; and they of his household shall be a man's enemies. He who loves father or mother above me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter above me is not worthy of me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. He that finds his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for my sake shall find it.
