And he came a little nearer, and fell on his face, praying and saying, Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me! nevertheless, not as I will, but as Thou wilt. And he cometh to the disciples, and findeth them sleeping, and saith to Peter, Is it so that ye could not watch with me one hour? Watch, and pray that ye enter not into temptation; the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Again he went away a second time, and prayed, saying, My Father, if this [cup] cannot pass away from me, but I must drink it, thy will be done! And coming again he found them sleeping; for their eyes were heavy. And leaving them, he went away again, and prayed the third time, saying again the same words. Then he cometh to the disciples, and saith to them, Sleep on, and take your rest! Lo! the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners. Rise, let us be going; lo! he is at hand that delivereth me up. And while he was yet speaking, lo! Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and elders of the people. And his betrayer had given them a sign, saying, Whomever I shall kiss, he is the man; seize him. And immediately going up to Jesus, he said, Hail, Rabbi! and kissed him. And Jesus said to him, Friend, for what hast thou come! Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and seized him.

And on coming he immediately went up to him, and said, Rabbi! and kissed him. And they laid hands on him and seized him.

While he was yet speaking, lo! a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, was at the head of them; and he drew near to Jesus to kiss him. But Jesus said to him, Judas, dost thou betray the Son of man with a kiss? And they who were about him, seeing what would follow, said, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?
