And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. And they began to accuse him saying, "We have found this fellow, perverting the people and forbidding to pay tribute to Caesar: and saying that he is Christ, a King." When Pilate heard mention of Galilee, he asked whether the man were of Galilee. And as soon as he knew that he was of Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, which was also at Jerusalem in those days.

If my kingdom were of this world then would my ministers surely fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews, but now is my kingdom not from hence." Pilate said unto him, "Art thou a King then?" Jesus answered, "Thou sayest that I am a King. For this cause was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. And all that are of the truth hear my voice." Pilate said unto him, "What thing is truth?"
