And ye masters, do even the same things unto them, putting away threatenings: and remember that even your master also is in heaven, neither is there any respect of person with him.

For the LORD your God, he is God of Gods and Lord of lords; a great God, a mighty and a terrible which regardeth no man's person nor taketh gifts:
For sure it is, that God condemneth no man wrongfully, and the judgment of the Almighty is not unrighteous. Who ruleth the earth in his stead? Or whom hath he set to govern the whole world? To whom hath he given his heart, for to draw his spirit and breath unto him? read more.

But as he which called you is holy, even so be ye holy in all manner of conversation, because it is written, "Be ye holy, for I am holy." And if so be that ye call on the father, which without respect of person judgeth according to every man's works, see that ye pass the time of your pilgrimage in fear:

In the former treatise, Dear friend Theophilus, I have written of all that Jesus began to do and teach,
But ye shall not suffer yourselves to be called Rabbi, for one is your master, that is, to wit, Christ, and all ye are brethren.
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healed all manner of sickness and all manner diseases among the people.
The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, "Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher which art come from God. For no man could do such miracles as thou doest, except God were with him."
And it fortuned in another Sabbath also, that he entered into the synagogue and taught. And there was a man, whose right hand was dried up.
And they sent unto him their disciples with Herod's servants, saying, "Master, we know that thou art true, and that thou teachest the way of God truly, neither carest for any man, for thou considerest not men's estate.
And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, "By what authority doest thou these things? And who gave thee this power?"
And as soon as they were come, they said unto him, "Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: For thou considerest not the degree of men, but teachest the way of God truly: Is it lawful to pay tribute to Caesar, or not?
And they asked him saying, "Master, we know that thou sayest, and teachest right, neither considerest thou any man's degree, but teachest the way of God truly.
When he saw the people he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came to him:
And it came to pass, when Jesus had made an end of commanding his twelve disciples, that he departed thence, to teach and preach in their cities.
The same time said Jesus to the multitude, "Ye be come out as it were unto a thief, with swords and staves for to take me: daily I sat among you teaching in the temple, and ye took me not.
And he began again to teach by the seaside. And there gathered together unto him much people, so greatly that he entered in to a ship, and sat in the sea, and all the people was by the seaside on the shore:
And they were the more fierce, saying, "He moveth the people, teaching throughout Jewry, and began at Galilee, even to this place."

They set abroad their phylacteries, and make large borders on their garments, and love to sit uppermost at feasts, and to have the chief seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, 'Rabbi.' But ye shall not suffer yourselves to be called Rabbi, for one is your master, that is, to wit, Christ, and all ye are brethren. And call ye no man your father upon the earth, for there is but one, your father, and he is in heaven. Be not called masters, for there is but one, your master, and he is Christ. He that is greatest among you, shall be your servant. But whosoever exalteth himself, shall be brought low. And he that humbleth himself, shall be exalted. Woe be unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven before men: ye yourselves go not in, neither suffer ye them that come to enter in. Woe be unto you, scribes and Pharisees, for ye devour widows' houses: and that, under a colour of praying long prayers, wherefore ye shall receive greater damnation. And there came one of the scribes, that had heard them disputing together, and perceived that he had answered them well, and asked him, "Which is the first of all the commandments?" Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord God is One Lord. And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength.' This is the first commandment. And the second is like unto this, 'Thou shalt love thy neighbor, as thyself.' There is none other commandment greater than these." And the scribe said unto him, "Well master, thou hast said the truth, that there is one God, and that there is none but he. And to love him with all the heart, and with all the mind, and with all the soul, and with all the strength. And to love a man's neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all burnt offerings and sacrifices." And when Jesus saw that he answered discreetly, he said unto him, "Thou art not far from the kingdom of God." And no man after that durst ask him any question. And Jesus answered, and said, teaching in the temple, "How say the scribes, that Christ is the son of David? For David himself, inspired with the holy ghost, said, 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand till I make thine enemies thy foot stool.' Then David himself calleth him Lord, and by what means is he then his son?" And much people heard him gladly. And he said unto them in his doctrine, "Beware of the scribes which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the market places, and the chief seats in the synagogues, and to sit in the uppermost rooms at feasts, and devour widows' houses: and that, under a colour of long praying. These shall receive greater damnation."

And the Lord said to him, "Now do ye, O Pharisees, make clean the outside of the cup, and of the platter: but your inward parts are full of ravening and wickedness. Ye fools: did not he that made that which is without, make that which is within also? Nevertheless, ye give alms of that ye have, and behold: all is clean to you. read more.

Tribute » Rendering tribute
Let every soul submit himself unto the authority of the higher powers. For there is no power, but of God. The powers that be, are ordained of God.
