Or, how can you say to your brother: Brother, let me pull out the splinter that is in your eye, when you yourself see not the beam that is in your own eye? Hypocrite, first pull the beam out of your own eye, and then you shall see clearly to pull out the splinter that is in your brother's eye. For a good tree does not produce unsound fruit; nor does an unsound tree produce good fruit. For every tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes gathered from brambles. The good man, out of the good treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is good; and the evil man, out of the evil treasury of his heart, brings forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance of his heart his mouth speaks. But why call me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I command?
