And immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt within herself that she was healed of the disorder. And immediately Jesus, knowing in Himself that power was gone out of Him, turned about in the croud and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto Him, Thou seest the multitude crouding about thee, and dost thou ask, Who touched me? and He looked round about to see who had done it. But the woman being afraid and trembling, as knowing what had been done in her, came and prostrated herself to Him, and told Him all the truth: and He said to her, Daughter, thy faith has saved thee; go in peace, and be healed of thy disorder. As He was speaking these things to them, behold there came a ruler and worshipped Him, saying, My daughter is at the point of death: but come, I pray Thee, and put thy hand upon her, and she shall live: and Jesus rose up, and followed him; as did also his disciples.
And behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, named Jairus; and as soon as he saw Him, he fell at his feet, and earnestly intreated Him, saying, My little daughter is at the point of death, I beseech thee that thou wouldst come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live. So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him, and pressed about Him.
While He was yet speaking, there came some from the ruler of the synagogue's house, saying, Thy daughter is dead, why dost thou trouble the Master any more? And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, people weeping and lamenting greatly: and when He was come in, He saith unto them, Why do ye take on thus and weep? the child is not dead, but asleep. And they laughed at Him: but when He had turned them all out, He taketh the father, and the mother of the child, and those three that were with Him, and goes in where the child was laid: and taking hold of her hand, He saith unto her, Talitha, cumi, which is, being interpreted, Damsel, (I say unto thee) arise: and immediately the damsel rose up and walked; for she was twelve years old; and they were struck with great astonishment. And He strictly charged them, that no one should know it: and bid them give her something to eat.
