But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, "Why doth this Man speak thus? He blasphemeth! Who can forgive sins but One, God?" And straightway Jesus, perceiving in His spirit that they so reason within themselves, saith to them, "Why do ye reason these things in your hearts? read more.
Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?' But, that ye may know the Son of Man hath authority on earth to forgive sins (He saith to the paralytic). I say to you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house."

For, if ye were believing Moses, ye would believe Me; for he wrote concerning Me. But, if ye believe not his writings, how will ye believe My words?"
