When Jesus went ashore he saw a great throng; and he had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
Now Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I have compassion on the multitude, because they have been with me three days and have nothing to eat. And I do not want to send them away hungry, lest they faint on the way."

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, "You lack one thing; go and sell what you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."
Peter turned and saw following them the disciple whom Jesus loved, who had leaned on his breast at the supper and had said, "Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?"

And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at the hardness of their hearts, and said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." He stretched it out, and his hand was restored.
And being in agony, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.

Give to everyone who asks of you, and from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back. And as you wish that men would do to you, do so to them. For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners, to receive as much back. For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Just as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the man of heaven.
And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
