Then when Judas, which betrayed him, saw that he was condemned, he repented himself; and brought again the thirty plates of silver to the chief priests and elders, saying, "I have sinned, betraying the innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us? see thou to that." And he cast down the silver plates in the temple, and departed, and went and hung himself.

And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went away unto the high priests, to betray him unto them. When they heard that, they were glad, and promised that they would give him money. And he sought, how he might conveniently betray him.

Then entered Satan into Judas, whose surname was Iscariot, which was of the number of the twelve: and he went his way, and communed with the high priests and officers, how he might betray him to them. And they were glad: and promised to give him money. read more.

While he yet spake: behold, there came a company: and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and pressed nigh unto Jesus to kiss him. And Jesus said unto him, "Judas, betrayest thou the son of man with a kiss?"

"Ye men and brethren, this scripture must have needs been fulfilled which the holy ghost, through the mouth of David, spake before of Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus: For he was now numbered with us and had obtained fellowship in this ministration. And it is known unto all the inhabiters of Jerusalem. Insomuch that that field is called in their mother tongue, Akeldama, that is to say the blood field. It is written in the book of psalms, 'His habitation be void, and no man be dwelling therein,' and, 'His bishoprick let another take.'
