Now I exhort you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ and through the love of the Spirit, to contend along with me in your prayers on my behalf to God, that I may be rescued from those who are disobedient in Judea, and my ministry in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so that, coming to you with joy by the will of God, I may rest with you.

with all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the Spirit, and to this [end] being alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, and for me, that a word may be given to me at the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, for the sake of which I am an ambassador in chains, that {in them} I may speak freely, as it is necessary for me to speak.

for I know that this will turn out to me for deliverance through your prayer and the support of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

Be devoted to prayer, keeping alert in it with thanksgiving, praying at the same time for us also, that God may open for us a door of the message, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which also {I am a prisoner}, so that I may reveal it, as it is necessary for me to speak.

Finally, brothers, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may progress and be honored, just as also [it was] with you, and that we may be delivered from evil and wicked people, {for not all have the faith}.

At the same time also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.

Pray for us, for we are convinced that we have a good conscience, [and] want to conduct ourselves commendably in every [way]. And I especially urge [you] to do this, so that I may be restored to you more quickly.
