Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse, double in ways, though he be rich. Verse ConceptsGreed, Believers' Response ToPoverty, SpiritualProverbsRich, ThePerversionUprightnessTwisted WaysBlessings Of The PoorDrawbacks To Riches

The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether: They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb.

TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according to thy word. Teach me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed in thy commandments. Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep thy word. read more.
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes. The proud have forged falsehood against me: I will observe thy precepts with my whole heart. Their heart is as fat as grease: as for me, I delight in thy law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold: for wisdom is better than rubies, and all the things that may be desired are not equal to it. I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find the knowledge which cometh of reflection. read more.
The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am intelligence; I have strength. By me kings reign, and rulers make just decrees; by me princes rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. I love those that love me; and they that seek me early shall find me. Riches and honour are with me; durable wealth and righteousness. My fruit is better than fine gold, yea, than pure gold; and my revenue than choice silver.
