The scars of past wounds are medicine for evil, and living reproof reaches the most secret places in the inward parts.
Judgments are prepared for scorners and stripes for the back of fools.
And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
