A fool's lips bring strife, And his mouth calls for blows. A fool's mouth is his ruin, And his lips are the snare of his soul.

He who loves transgression loves strife;
He who raises his door seeks destruction.

Like charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire,
So is a contentious man to kindle strife.

Why do You make me see iniquity,
And cause me to look on wickedness?
Yes, destruction and violence are before me;
Strife exists and contention arises.

Now the angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim And he said, "I brought you up out of Egypt and led you into the land which I have sworn to your fathers; and I said, 'I will never break My covenant with you, and as for you, you shall make no covenant with the inhabitants of this land; you shall tear down their altars.' But you have not obeyed Me; what is this you have done? "Therefore I also said, 'I will not drive them out before you; but they will become as thorns in your sides and their gods will be a snare to you.'"

But they mingled with the nations And learned their practices, And served their idols, Which became a snare to them.

You shall consume all the peoples whom the Lord your God will deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them, nor shall you serve their gods, for that would be a snare to you.

"I will fix your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out before you. "You shall make no covenant with them or with their gods. "They shall not live in your land, because they will make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you."

"Be sure to observe what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite before you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite. "Watch yourself that you make no covenant with the inhabitants of the land into which you are going, or it will become a snare in your midst.

"So take diligent heed to yourselves to love the LORD your God. "For if you ever go back and cling to the rest of these nations, these which remain among you, and intermarry with them, so that you associate with them and they with you, know with certainty that the LORD your God will not continue to drive these nations out from before you; but they will be a snare and a trap to you, and a whip on your sides and thorns in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

It is a trap for a man to say rashly, “It is holy!”
And after the vows to make inquiry.

"But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. "For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned."

For in many dreams and in many words there is emptiness. Rather, fear God.

Like a thorn which falls into the hand of a drunkard,
So is a proverb in the mouth of fools.

The mind of the intelligent seeks knowledge,
But the mouth of fools feeds on folly.

Wise men store up knowledge,
But with the mouth of the foolish, ruin is at hand.

The lips of the wise spread knowledge,
But the hearts of fools are not so.

Like the legs which are useless to the lame,
So is a proverb in the mouth of fools.

“O that you would be completely silent,
And that it would become your wisdom!

"Is there no limit to windy words? Or what plagues you that you answer? "I too could speak like you, If I were in your place. I could compose words against you And shake my head at you.

“Who is this that darkens counsel
By words without knowledge?

Do not answer a fool according to his folly,
Or you will also be like him.

Do not slander a slave to his master,
Or he will curse you and you will be found guilty.

the beginning of his talking is folly and the end of it is wicked madness. Yet the fool multiplies words No man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him?

So is a proverb in the mouth of fools.

Words from the mouth of a wise man are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him; the beginning of his talking is folly and the end of it is wicked madness. Yet the fool multiplies words No man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after him?
