Thou lovest to speak all words that may do hurt, O thou false tongue. Therefore shall God destroy thee forever; he shall take thee, and pluck thee out of thy dwelling, and root thee out of the land of the living. Selah. Then Jesus said then unto his disciples: "Verily I say unto you, it is hard for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. And moreover I say unto you: it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." When his disciples heard that, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, "Who then can be saved?" read more.

And Jesus looked round about, and said unto his disciples, "What a hard thing it is for them that have riches enter into the kingdom of God." And his disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answered again, and said unto them, "Children: how hard is it for them, that trust in their riches, to enter into the kingdom of God? It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of an needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." read more.

There be some that put their trust in their goods, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches. But no man may deliver his brother, nor make agreement unto God for him, for it costeth more to redeem their souls, so that he must let that alone forever. read more.
Yea, though he live long, and see not the grave. For he seeth that wise men also die and perish together, as well as the ignorant and foolish, and leave their riches for others. And yet they think that their houses shall continue forever, and that their dwelling-places shall endure from one generation to another; and call the lands after their own names. Nevertheless, man will not abide in honour, seeing he may be compared unto the beasts that perish; this is the way of them. This way of theirs is very foolishness, and yet their posterity praise it with their mouth. Selah. They lie in the hell like sheep, death gnaweth upon them, and the righteous shall have domination of them in the morning. Their beauty shall consume in the sepulchre, and hell shall be their dwelling. But God shall deliver my soul from the power of hell, when he receiveth me. Selah. Be not thou afraid, though one be made rich, or if the glory of his house be increased; for he shall carry nothing away with him when he dieth, neither shall his pomp follow him. For while he lived, he counted himself a happy man; and so long as thou doest well unto thyself, men will speak good of thee. But when he followeth his fathers' generation, he shall never see light any more. When a man is in honour and hath no understanding, he is compared unto the brute beasts - and becometh like unto them.
