And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why does your wrath grow hot against your people, whom you have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

[A maschil of Asaph.] O God, why have you cast us off forever? why does your anger smoke against the sheep of your pasture? Remember your congregation, which you have purchased of old; the tribe of your inheritance, which you have redeemed; this mount Zion, where you have dwelt.



Then said Jesus unto them, All you shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.


And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

So we your people and sheep of your pasture will give you thanks forever: we will show forth your praise to all generations.
