How shall we sing the LORD's song in a foreign land?
And these are the singers, heads of the fathers of the Levites, who remaining in the chambers were free from other service: for they were employed in that work day and night.
And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, in music: he instructed about the music, because he was skillful.
And these are they whom David set over the service of song in the house of the LORD, after the ark had rest. The overseer also of the Levites at Jerusalem was Uzzi the son of Bani, the son of Hashabiah, the son of Mattaniah, the son of Mica, of the sons of Asaph, the singers, were over the business of the house of God.
For in the days of David and Asaph of old there was a leader of the singers, and songs of praise and thanksgiving unto God.
