For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from lewdness.
But that we write to them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from lewdness, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. For they that sleep, sleep in the night; and they that are drunken, are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breast-plate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore withdraw from contention, before it be meddled with.
It is an honor for a man to cease from strife: but every fool will be meddling.
Go not forth hastily to strive, lest thou know not what to do in the end thereof, when thy neighbor hath put thee to shame. Debate thy cause with thy neighbor himself; and reveal not a secret to another: Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thy infamy turn not away.
