Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love;
And whoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself, shall be exalted.
For whoever exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Be of the same mind one towards another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men who were upon the face of the earth.)
Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble.
The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom: and before honor is humility.
Better it is to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
The meek also shall increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.
Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him show by a good deportment his works with meekness of wisdom.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.

If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Let nothing be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the ingrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
And the loftiness of man shall be abased, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be abased, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
