And you masters, do the same things to them, leaving off threatening, knowing that you yourselves have a master in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.

Or, do you despise the riches of his goodness, and his forbearance, and his long suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? But, according to your hard and impenitent heart, you treasure up to yourself wrath for a day of wrath, and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to every man according to his works; to those who, by patient continuance in good works, seek for glory and honor and incorruptibility, eternal life: but to those who are contentious, and obey not the truth, but obey unrighteousness, anger and wrath, affliction and distress, upon every soul of man that practices what is evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Greek: but glory and honor and peace to every one that practices what is good, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek: for there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as have sinned without law, shall also perish without law; and as many as have sinned under law, shall be judged by law, in the day when God shall judge the secret works of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel. For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
