See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God. The world therefore knows us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we children of God, and it does not yet appear what we shall be. We know, that if he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

Not that any one has seen the Father except he that is from God; he has seen the Father.

For the light affliction which is for a moment, works out for us more abundantly an eternal weight of glory, while we look not on the things which are seen but on the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are for a time, but those which are unseen are eternal.

The light of the body is the eye; when, therefore, your eye is sound, your whole body is light; but when your eye is evil, your whole body is dark. See, therefore, that the light which is in you be not darkness. If, therefore, your whole body is light, not having any part dark, the whole will be light, as when a candle lights you clearly.
