But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all; yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.
For the whole Law is fulfilled in one commandment, even in this "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
The second is this: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." There is no other commandment greater than these.
and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love ones neighbor as ones self, is more than all the whole burntofferings and the sacrifices.
For these, "Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not covet," and every other commandment, are summed up in this precept, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself."
And I thank him who gave me strength, Christ Jesus our Lord, that he accounted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, t though formerly I was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a doer of outrage; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly, in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
If indeed ye fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself," ye do well.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ received you to the glory of God.
A new commandment I give you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
Him that is weak in his faith receive with kindness, and not to pass judgment on his thoughts.
Then there were brought to him children, that be might lay his hands on them, and pray; and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said to them, Suffer the children, and forbid them not to come to me; for to such belongeth the kingdom of heaven.
And they brought children to him, that he might touch them; and the disciples rebuked those that brought them. But Jesus seeing it was much displeased, and said to them, Suffer the children to come to me; forbid them not; for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.
And they brought to him infants also, that he might touch them; and the disciples, on seeing it, rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, Suffer the little children to come to me, and forbid them not; for to such belongeth the kingdom of God.
And the Lord said to him, Arise, and go into the street called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus; for lo! he prayeth, and hath seen a man, named Ananias, coming in and putting his hand on him, that he might receive sight. But Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how great evils he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem.read more.
And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said to him, Go; for this man is to me a chosen vessel, to bear my name before nations, and kings, and the sons of Israel. For I myself will show him how great things he must suffer for my names sake. And Ananias went away, and entered the house; and putting his hands on him, he said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus who appeared to thee in the way thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mayst receive sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit.
But one Ananias, a devout man according to the Law, well spoken of by all the Jews who dwelt there, came to me, and standing over me said, Brother Saul, receive sight. And I immediately looked up upon him.
But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and related to them how he had seen the Lord on the road, and that he had spoken to him, and hew he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
And a voice came to him again, the second time, That which God hath cleansed, call not thou common.
and my trial which was in my flesh ye did not despise nor spurn; but received me as an angel of God, yea, as Christ Jesus.
Now if Timothy come, see that he be with you without fear; for he is laboring in the work of the Lord, as I am; let no one therefore despise him. But conduct him on in peace, that he may come to me; for I am waiting for him with the brethren.
Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such in honor; because he was near to death on account of the work, hazarding his life to supply what was wanting on your part in the ministration to me.
