Matthew 22:36-40

Teacher, which commandment is great in the Law? And he said to him, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." This is the great and first commandment.read more.
There is a second like it: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.

Mark 12:28-31

And one of the scribes came up, having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which commandment is first of all? Jesus answered, The first is, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is one Lord; and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength."read more.
The second is this: "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself." There is no other commandment greater than these.

Matthew 15:3

But he answered and said to them, Why do ye too transgress the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?

And he said to them, Full well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your tradition!
