Then one who had escaped came and told Abram the Hebrew. He was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and of Aner. They were Abram's allies.
They went to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, and said to him and to the men of Israel: We come from a distant country, make a treaty with us.

Do not say that everything these people call a conspiracy is a conspiracy. Do not fear what they fear. Do not let it terrify you!
