Acts 19:8-10

And he entered the synagogue, and spoke boldly, reasoning, and persuading them for three months, with respect to the things of the kingdom of God. But as some were hardened, and did not believe, and spoke evil of that way before the multitude, he withdrew from them, and separated the disciples, and discoursed daily in the school of one Tyrannus. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own rented house, and received all that came to him, preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ, with all boldness and without hinderance.

Therefore, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made this same Jesus whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ. When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the other apostles: Brethren, what shall we do? And Peter said to them: Repent, and be immersed, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ, in order to the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you, and your children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call. And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying: Save yourselves from this wicked generation. Then they that gladly received his word were immersed, and on that day there were added to them about three thou sand souls.
