And seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and understanding that they were illiterate and uneducated men, they marvelled, and took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

And now, Lord, behold their threatenings, and give thy servants to speak thy word with all boldness, While thou stretchest forth thy hand to heal, and signs and wonders are done thro' the name of thy holy child Jesus. And while they were praying, the place in which they were assembled was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and spake the word of God with boldness.

And the brethren having heard of us, came out thence to meet us, some as far as Appii Forum, and others to the Three Taverns, whom when Paul saw, he thanked God and took courage.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what man can do unto me.

Hereby is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, so are we in this world.
