and made two cherubims of thick gold upon the two ends of the mercy seat: One cherub on the one end, and another cherub on the other end of the mercy seat. And the cherubims spread out their wings above on high, and covered the mercy seat therewith. And their faces were one to another: even to the mercy seat ward, were the faces of the cherubims.
Over the ark were the cherubims of glory shadowing the seat of grace. Of which things, we will not now speak particularly.

There were Cherubims and date trees made also, so that one date tree stood ever betwixt two Cherubims. One Cherub had two faces,
And on the flat boards between the ledges were lions, oxen and Cherubs. And upon the ledges that were above and beneath the lions and oxen, was joined pendant work.
And he graved in the plain and also on the ledges, Cherubs, lions and palm trees, everywhere round about.
And upon the doors of the temple there were made Cherubims and date trees, like as upon the walls: and a great thick balk of wood was before on the outside of the porch.
Yea, the Cherubims and date trees were made from the ground up above the door, and so stood they also upon the wall of the temple.
