If a thief is found breaking into a house and is smitten so he dies, he that killed him shall not be guilty of his blood. If the sun is risen upon him, he that killed him is guilty of his blood; the thief should make full restitution; if he has nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft.

When a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, let him pay double.

And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying, If a person commits a sin, a trespass against the LORD, and denies unto his neighbour that which was delivered unto him to keep or left in his hand, or in a thing stolen, or has slandered his neighbour; or has found that which was lost and then denies it and swears falsely, in any of all these in which a man can sin,read more.

Likewise he that kills any man shall surely be put to death. And he that kills an animal shall make it good: animal for animal. And if a man causes a blemish in his neighbour; as he has done, so shall it be done to him;read more.

Speak unto the sons of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against the LORD, and that person is guilty, then they shall confess their sin which they have done, and he shall recompense his guilt with the principal thereof and add unto it the fifth part thereof and give it unto him against whom he is guilty.

If a man delivers unto his neighbour an ass or an ox or a sheep or any beast to keep, and it dies or is hurt or driven away, no man seeing it, then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he has not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods, and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good. If it is torn in pieces, then let him bring witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn. And if anyone borrows anything of his neighbour, and it is hurt or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make it good. But if its owner is with it, he shall not make it good; if it was hired, it came for its hire.

And every one that has forsaken houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my name's sake shall receive a hundredfold and shall inherit eternal life.

And answering him, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, There is no one that has left house or brethren or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands for my sake and the gospel's who shall not receive one hundredfold now in this time: houses and brethren and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the world to come eternal life.

And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no one that has left house or parents or brethren or wife or children for the kingdom of God's sake who shall not receive manifold more in this present time and in the age to come, eternal life.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

For whosoever desires to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For whosoever desires to save his soul shall lose it, but whosoever will lose his soul for my sake, the same shall save it.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except the grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone; but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

And doubtless I even count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ and be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death,
