Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth. Speak what is good for understanding as the need may be, that it may give grace (divine favor) to those who hear.
The good man performs good things out of his good treasure. The evil man performs evil things out of his evil treasure.
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Let your answer be 'Yes' or 'No.' Anything more than this is from the evil one.

He hoped that Paul would give him money to free him. He sent for him frequently and conversed with him.
Then Festus conferred with his council and answered: Have you appealed to Caesar? To Caesar you shall go.
When Moses went into Jehovah's presence to speak with him, he took off the veil until he came out. When he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded,
they would see that Moses' face was glowing. Moses would put the veil back on until he went in again to speak with Jehovah.
