For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes on Him should not perish, but have eternal life;
For I am persuaded that, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those falling asleep, that ye sorrow not even as the rest who have no hope; for, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who fell asleep in Jesus will God bring with Him. For this we say to You, in a word of the Lord, that we, the living who remain over to the coming of the Lord, shall in nowise precede those who fell asleep;read more.
because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first; after that we, the living who are left over, will be caught up together with them in clouds, into the air, to meet the Lord; and so shall we always be with the Lord. So then, comfort one another with these words.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
And I heard a voice from Heaven, saying, "Write: Happy are the dead who die in the Lord from henceforth! Yea," saith the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors; for their works follow with them."
Jesus answered, and said to him, "What I am doing you know not now; but you shall know hereafter."
"Peace I leave for you; My own peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be fearful.
And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no more; neither mourning, nor crying, nor pain, shall be any more; because the first things passed away."
for He must reign, till He hath put all the enemies under His feet. As the last enemy, death is abolished;
and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of My hand. My Father, Who hath given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in Whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.
For I reckon that the sufferings of the present time are of no account in comparison with the glory about to be revealed for us.
And, if I go and prepare a place for you, I am coming again, and will receive you to Myself; that, where I am, ye may be also.
For, if we live, we live to the Lord; and, if we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live, therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
