And, going forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt."

Then saith Jesus to him, "Return your sword to its place; for all taking a sword will perish by a sword. Or do you think that I cannot call upon My Father, and He will place beside Me, even now, more than twelve legions of angels?

But, even if I judge, My judgment is true; because I am not alone, but I and the Father Who sent Me. And in your law also it has been written, 'The testimony of two men is true.' I am One Who testify concerning Myself; and the Father, Who sent Me, testifieth concerning Me."

Jesus, therefore, said, "When ye lift up the Son of Man, then will ye know that I am He; and, of Myself, I do nothing, but, as the Father taught Me, I speak these things. And He Who sent Me is with Me. He hath not left Me alone; because I am always doing the things that please Him."

Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, ye would love Me; for I came forth, and have come from, God; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.

Jesus answered, "If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing. It is My Father Who glorifieth Me, of Whom ye say, that He is your God.

say ye of Him Whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?

So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up His eyes, and said, "Father, I thank Thee, because Thou didst hear Me. And I knew that Thou always hearest Me; but, because of the multitude standing around, I said it, that they may believe that Thou didst send Me." And, having spoken these words, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!"

Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save Me from this hour. But for this cause came I to this hour. Father, glorify Thy Name!" There came, therefore, a voice out of Heaven, "I both glorified it, and will glorify it again." The multitude, therefore, who stood by and heard it, said that it had thundered; others said, "An angel has spoken to Him."

For I spake not from Myself; but the Father, Who sent Me, Himself hath given Me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I say to you, I speak not from Myself; but the Father, abiding in Me, doeth His works.

Ye heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I come to you.' If ye loved Me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; because the Father is greater than I.

Jesus spake these things; and, lifting up His eyes to Heaven, said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Thy Son, that the Son may glorify Thee; even as Thou gavest Him authority over all flesh, that to all Whom Thou hast given Him He should give eternal life. And this is the eternal life, that they know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou didst send.read more.
